Warner Group Clothing Drive Volunteers 2011

The Warner Group sponsors an annual clothing drive for "My Sister's Place", a division of Birmingham Group Health Services, in Ansonia.  We enlist the help of neighborhood volunteers to help fight the battle against domestic violence.

 

Member of PIA (Professional Insurance Agents) – Member for over 8 years. PIA is an organization that helps agents by providing resources for continuing education, product information, changes in contracts and advocacy for insurance agents.

Greater Valley Chamber of Commerce – Member for over 10 years. The GVCC is a chamber consisting of Ansonia, Beacon Falls, Oxford, Derby, Seymour and Shelton as well as surrounding areas. The chamber helps support local business and their mission is to provide leadership to enhance economic growth, development, prosperity and quality of life in the region.

Society of Certified Insurance Counselors – The Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation and pin is a mark of distinction that represents a commitment to professional excellence and leadership within the insurance industry. The 30,000 designated CICs across the country are recognized as among the best and most knowledgeable insurance practitioners in the nation. The formal training required to become a CIC includes 100 classroom hours and the successful completion of five comprehensive exams, with an annual update required to ensure that CICs maintain their edge as the most capable and current insurance practitioners in the industry.

Sponsor Griffin Hospital Cancer Center – Warner Group sponsored a Wine Tasting event to support the construction of the Griffin Hospital Cancer Center.

Jeans for Charity – The Warner Group has a business dress-down day on Fridays throughout the year where employees pay to wear jeans. The donations have gone to various charities and most recently to the Griffin Hospital Cancer Center.

Corporate Volunteer Council (Valley United Way) – Member for over 5 years. The Warner Group has participated in many events such as clothes drives, food drives, gifts for children and many other community events to help provide for those in need.

Warner Charitable Giving – The Warner Group continues to look for opportunities to give back to the community. We have done drives which allow tenants in our building to come donate clothes and toys. These donations were all given to My Sister’s Place – a shelter for battered women and children.
